Snack Attack! at Addison School

Snack Attack! is back! Part of Tasting Week 2013

The reviews were good: “Thank you again for this wonderful workshop! It was a pleasure to see you do your magic with the kids and walk them through the differences between whole foods and junk foods.  I loved the part you had them read the name of the ingredients in the junk food and the amount of sugar in the soda…

The 3 stations were fantastic. I loved the banana ice cream made of frozen bananas only. The flavor and the texture were great. I liked the carrots too. But the big surprise came from the kale roll!! It was such a hit!!

Here is the text message I received from a mom who went to Whole Foods that night to get all the ingredients for your kale roll. “Hi Marilyn. The kids are making healthy snacks since  yesterday. It was a great success. Thanks..”

And Kale Almond Butter Craisin Rollups. It even surprised me how much this snack is a favorite of a number of the students in the class.
