“Thank you so much for your cooking demo and talk at the Belmont library. It was my first such class and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt like I came away with a lot of good tips and ideas and it was so much fun!” – Julie H
Belmont Library commissioned Foods of Love for Valentine’s Day. What are the foods of love, you ask?
We made three dishes and talked about using different foods for decoration. Guess what the veggies are below…
Answer: jicama, red pepper, sweet potato, and underneath is watermelon radish.
We made Heart Beet Salad with Goat Cheese Truffle.
And Polenta Canapes with Wild Mushroom and Basil Rosemary Aphrodisiac (both foods of love). Cut the polenta into hearts shapes for added fun.
We hollowed peppers for Peanut Butter Stuffed Chocolate-Covered Jalapenos.
We dipped and propped stem on a spoon to allow the chocolate to harden….
Drizzled with white chocolate after the dark has hardened
And asked the question, “If chocolate and peppers are both foods of love, will together serve double-dandle?
