Cooking with Teens and Tweens – Part 4

Well, the boys are all grown up. No more tweens – all teens (15 and 13 years) and what a difference! No more breaks every 15 minutes, no more inability to concentrate – C and D stayed with the class the whole time.

This week it was Indian food. We made Chicken Tikka Masala

Mango, Mint and Red Pepper Jalapeno Chutneys

The boys always question the details; what do brown mustard seeds or garam masala taste like, if the vein of the pepper is the hottest, why don’t we use it? We taste everything in class – even the vein, which yes, now confirmed is hottest and yes, we used it because the serrano wasn’t that hot.

For dessert, we made was Molten Lava Cakes with homemade Strawberry Sauce.
