A group of good friends always talked about traveling to Morocco for a girls trip, but never made it. So for a surprise 50th birthday, we turned an old barn
into Morocco instead!
Start with a red rug.
Add tables supported by milk crates, benches, parachutes to fill the ceiling and walls. and lots of pillows.
Plates and glasses came from local specialty shops
And don’t forget lights and candles!
Spicy Lentil Soup Shooter
Moroccan Lamb Tagine with Preserved Lemon and Herb Almond CousCous
Moroccan Tempeh with Dried Fruit and Olives
Ras el Hanout Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Carrot and Pistachio on Zabadi (Moroccan thick yogurt)Moroccan Meze (small bowls harissa, bell peppers, olives, cucumbers, middle eastern flatbread
Mint and Orange Water & Berber Tea
It was a wild, fantastic night!
With memories that will last a lifetime.
